Today I started this Granny Square Afghan for my niece's daughter. Her birthday party is September first, but I won't be able to attend. I will be sending this finished blanket to her. Here is the beginning:
I've decided that this will be one quarter of the afghan. I've started the second quarter. I hope to finish is by the end of the week. My arm is a little sore from so much crochet in two weeks.
Sundays are great. My mom goes home in the afternoon and my son gets home from work early. But in between I'm alone and able to get stuff done. Miranda's blanket is almost done. Her birthday has passed, but I think she will like it just the same.
My friend Wendy celebrated her daughter's 15th birthday at Bubba Gump Shrimp in Times Square. Tourist trap, but that's what her daughter wanted. We had a great time, and she had a ball. Great food, better friends, what more could a girl want?
