Granddaddy Leonard passed away last night. He'd been sick for a while now, but I guess no matter how long you know it's going to happen, it still hurts. He was such a strong man for so many years.
He was in the Navy in WWII and was darn proud. He was a hunter in the Everglades, being a founder of one of the hunting camps in the 1950s. It was a passion of his until the government took it away from them in the 1980s for The Everglades National Park. I missed him and my grandmother because I live so far away, and will miss him so much more now. I won't be going to FLA for a service because my dad is saving the ashes until Grandma passes. Then they will be placed with my unlce, who died when he was a teenager. He had dropped his date off on Prom Night, and on the way home was hit by a drunk driver. He died instantly. It happened back in the early 1960s so I never met him.
Praying for friends to comfort you,
faith to uphold you,
and loving memories
to help you smile again.
With Sincerest Sympathy.
