Easter cupcakes

  Lemon cake with cheesecake frosting.  I was home last Tuesday waiting for my apartment inspector, which actually showed.  I had the rest of the day to myself.  One of the things I made were these cupcakes which I took to work.  I love all of the new helpful decorations Wilsons has for us in the craft stores now.  The stuff in the supermarkets don't come anywhere close to these things.  I like to decorate my cakes myself, but I like to have these in the cabinet for on the spur of the moment things like this.

I gave a dozen to Scott to take to school for his friends and I took a dozen to work for my friends.  I planned to make more on the weekend for Easter, but was out of commission for the holiday from Friday night to Monday night with a migraine.  My mom brought over a carrot cake from her local bakery.  I LOVE CARROT CAKE. 

Six months and a day

She didn't want me to take her photo, but I just couldn't resist.  I can't wait to see those boys running around, B!  I know you can't wait either.

Advance free screenings & trimmings

I haven't posted in a while because I have been so busy going to the movies so much.  We've seen a movie almost every day afterwork since the middle of last week.  It's one of the privilages of living in NY, and knowing the right people, and being willing to stand on line for an hour or two or even three.  I wouldn't be doing this if my son was younger, or if I had a significant other at home, so while the situation is what it is, I am taking advantage of it. 

I was able to get some crafting in on Sunday afternoon, even with my migraine...  I have a vacation day planned for this Friday, so I hope to get some creative work done then.  I also want to go to the Met in the next few weeks, but I don't think I'm going to use Friday for that.  Another trip I want to make is the trimmings area in mid-town manhattan.  I travel through there to go to the movie screenings on 42nd Street all of the time, but I have to hurry to get on line, so I don't go in to the stores.  I just might take another vacation day for that in a month or so.
